    Josh Ellis is an accomplished and passionate real estate broker, developer and executive with a highly successful career marked by leading the development, marketing and sales of notable projects, as well as residential and commercial real estate valued at more than $2.5 Billion. Prior to joining Douglas Elliman, in order to assist in driving the growth for their luxury development portfolio in Texas, Mr. Ellis played a pivotal leadership role in re-igniting the sales, marketing and development momentum within Long Cove as President of Long Cove Realty, where he previously helped successfully launch and sell out the initial phases of development years before. Prior to Josh's tenure as President at Long Cove and manager of Long Cove Construction, LLC he joined Compass Real Estate as Broker Associate & Principle of The ELLIS Group. Leading up to being a part of the Compass brand, Josh founded and launched Native International Realty in 2016 and served as Chief Executive Officer for the company until their acquisition by Compass Real Estate in 2019, after realizing a desperate need for positive change in the residential real estate industry. Josh is a consummate real estate professional with over 20 years of experience at establishing operational excellence and driving business growth, while keeping a dedicated focus on the needs and best interests of his clients.

    During his career, Josh has been an essential player in the success of some of DFW's most notable projects and communities. Before NATIVE, Josh served as Sales and Marketing Director and was an Executive Member of the Development Team for Long Cove Development, Inc., the developer of a 1,200-acre, 500-home luxury resort community with homes ranging from $1.5M to $10M+. He later and most recently rejoined the team as President of Long Cove Realty, successfully righting the ship in his return with record sales and development growth. Prior to his continued success at Long Cove, Ellis served Traditions Management, LLC and later Allie Beth Allman & Associates, Inc. by drastically leading all sales, in terms of dollar amount and volume sold, for The Residences at The Ritz-Carlton, Dallas as well as The Tower Residences at The Ritz-Carlton, Dallas. Ellis has also been involved in other premier development projects and real estate in Hawaii, Arizona, the British Virgin Islands and Texas during that time.

    Originally from Houston, TX, Ellis Attended Texas Christian University, was a student athlete and received a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing as well as a Bachelor of Science in Political Science. Past affiliations and community service work includes Urban Land Institute's Young Leaders Council; Executive Board Member of Long Cove Homeowners Association; Board Member of the Architectural Design Review Committee at Long Cove; serving as Executive Board Member and Public Speaking Chair for Friends of the Park, Woodall Rogers Park Foundation (Klyde Warren Park); Dale Carnegie's Management & Public Speaking Training Program; The Executive Steering Committee for The Turtle Creek Home Tour; and the Fundraising Committee for Friends of The Katy Trail. He lives and serves in the metroplex area and his two daughters (Parker and Poppy) attend the Episcopal School of Dallas (ESD).
